Constitution of the
Sidney Integrated Wellness Community Society

1. The name of the association is the Sidney Integrated Wellness Community (referred to hereinafter and in the bylaws of the Sidney Integrated Wellness Community as the "Association").

2. The purposes of the Association are:
   To build relationships with health practitioners and wellness providers who educate and empower our community about optimal health choices by:
   a) cultivating opportunities that foster the development of relationships between all health-related fields to better serve the area covered by the Saanich Peninsula Geographic with resource directories and a website;
   b) providing educational opportunities for all members and the community via educational seminars, conferences, and health fairs.

3. No part of the income of the Association will be available for the personal benefit of any member, but this shall not be construed to prevent the Association from paying any member for property sold to the Association or from paying any member for services rendered to the Association or for reimbursing any member for approved expenses incurred on behalf of the Association.  This provision is irrevocable and unalterable.

4. The Association will not declare any dividend or distribute any of its property among the members during the existence of the Association or upon its winding-up or dissolution.  This provision is irrevocable and unalterable.

5. In the event that the Association is wound up or dissolved any surplus funds of the Association will be used for charitable or educational purposes in Canada or used for making grants or donations for such charitable or educational purposes as the members may determine by ordinary resolution, and this provision is irrevocable and unalterable.
